We’ve all seen them. Stare at a plain white surface like the ceiling and you’ll notice all of these little floating fibers enter your vision. I just tried something that kinda freaked me out. Lay there looking at the ceiling and wait for them to appear. Then, bring your focus as near-sighted as possible, and all of a sudden you’ll notice that many of them will come into focus and you can even realize that some will look closer than others. Very weird. Very cool.
There are reports today of pressure sensitivity as a possible new feature for future iOS device screens. This could add a whole other dimension to touch-OSes. Think of it as much more than just a ‘right-click’ for touch, and maybe more like a pseudo 3-dimensionalization of the input. Very excited to see the application of this type of technology if true.
Design is my favorite.
